Statutory PSHE alongside statutory RSE?
"The Government’s ambition to support all young people to stay safe and prepare for life in modern Britain by making Relationships Education (Primary), Relationships and Sex Education (RSE-Secondary) and, subject to the outcome of a thorough consideration of the subject, Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE-both) statutory in all schools. The government laid an amendment to the Children and Social Work Bill on 1 March 2017 which [they] intend to come into effect from September 2019." DfE

PSHE education is my business. It is all about children and young people being equipped to deal with the modern world. I offer professional, affordable, tailored, fresh ways to tackle tricky subjects direct to children and young people alongside staff training and support so teachers can do the same.
From over a decade’s experience in the classroom I understand children and the education system, I know what issues arise when teaching PSHE in a busy, target driven environment where many teachers feel uncomfortable teaching aspects of these topics and perhaps more importantly, I have spent time listening to children and staff, researching from the grass roots up. Children want facts - age appropriate facts - but they don't want to be made uncomfortable in the process which is why humour and different learning styles are embraced at all opportunities!
Alongside my consultancy support I teach bespoke sessions to children, teenagers and parents in day or evening workshops and KS1-KS5 staff in early bird, inset or twilight teacher training sessions throughout all areas of the South East including East Sussex, Kent, Surrey, London the UK and beyond.
Experience: qualified class teacher of 10 years (QTS, Upper Pay Scale), long term PSHE lead teacher, post-graduate qualification in PSHE provision, Director of PSHE education since 2013
Bespoke Sessions: for Infants, Juniors, Seniors, Sixth Formers, teachers, support staff and Parents. Planning incorporates up to date research, skills and knowledge in PSHE, RSE and SMSC, school ethos and policies, budget, individual needs, different learning styles, size of group, space available and time required.
