In a world flooded with sexual images and accessible, explicit pornographic material there has never been a more important time for accurate, high quality, factual, age appropriate sex education for our children and young people.
Alongside sex, the rich and diverse world of sexuality and sexual relationships also needs to be taught and understood so that young people can identify and feel comfortable with their own and others sexuality and gender.

In my Relationships and Sex sessions whether taught to pupils, students, parents or staff I always give as much age appropriate, relevant, up to the minute information. Giving the facts required to enable children and young people to understand, amongst other things, their bodies, their sexuality and their rights.



Some statistics…

More than a third of schools in England are failing to provide pupils with age-appropriate sex and relationships education, according to Ofsted. Many young people lack adequate sexual health knowledge.

Most young people become sexually active aged 16 and over. Between a quarter and a third of young people have heterosexual intercourse for the first time before they are 16
[Wellings 2001]

Levels of knowledge about STIs have been found to be generally poor.

Young people want to know how their bodies work, and the risks associated with unprotected sex.

Studies show alarming links between early exposure to pornography and juvenile sex offenders; one study of 30 young sex offenders showed that 29 had been watching X-rated porn.
